EMS appointed as distributor for P2 Wireless Smart Virtual Fiber® Wireless Mesh solutions

EMS, an integrated information and communication technology infrastructure solutions provider, is pleased to announce that it has been appointed as a distribution, marketing, sales and services partner to P2 Mobile Technologies Limited (“P2 Wireless”).

EMS CEO, Garies Chong, signs agreement with P2 Wireless

Pierre Fourie, GST Group Managing Director, commented:

As mentioned in the latest issue of the Vox Markets IPO Watch Magazine, we are working to provide new technology solutions to our clients. We will initially focus on Wireless Mesh sales opportunities in four territories in Southeast Asia – Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam and Myanmar – while assessing the potential markets in other countries. This enables GST to provide Smart Virtual Fiber® Wireless Mesh solutions to its current and future clients, as part of our overall sustainable value creation strategy focus.

P2 Wireless and its Wireless Mesh Products

P2 Wireless is a leading wireless mesh technology company offering flexible and expandable network solutions for bandwidth-demanding applications and mission-critical infrastructures. P2 Wireless revolutionized the way devices are connected. MeshRanger, their flagship product, is engineered with the patented MeshInfinity Technology to create “Smart Virtual Fiber®” that eliminates the constraints of extensive fiber optic cabling and facilitates easy and rapid deployment. P2 Wireless’ flexible mesh architecture provides high bandwidth, low latency, and self-healing connection that meets the most demanding connectivity requirements. P2 Wireless’ wireless mesh network is crafted for simple setup and robust transmission almost anywhere.

The P2 Wireless Mesh technologies are fast and competitively priced (compared to similar products). The Directors believe that it addresses the Smart City market need for rapidly deployable, inexpensive, convenient and fast Wi-Fi internet infrastructure, and the Safe City market need for 4k high definition security cameras, Wi-Fi coverage in urban and congested areas where installing new cables would be expensive and disruptive. Hence its other name – Smart Virtual Fiber®. The P2 Wireless technologies are also strong candidates to provide the ‘last mile’ high-speed internet access that many customers in urban, rural, and hard-to-reach areas such as bridges and ports, are seeking.

Deployment and Architecture

The possible deployment architectures that can be used are quite flexible. Daisy Chain and Mesh Ring configurations are shown here:

Market Size

According to Zion Market Research’s “Wireless Mesh Network Market by Mesh Design” report1, the global market for Wireless Mesh technologies is going to grow from the current c. USD4bn to a projected USD9bn annual turnover by 2024.

Practical Execution

EMS has over two decades’ experience in installing wired and wireless internet technologies from its Singapore base.

Garies Chong, CEO of EMS and BICSI Southeast Asia District Chair, recently chaired the 2018 BICSI Southeast Asia conference in Singapore on ‘Smart Innovations: Infrastructure to Empower Future Technologies’. He comments:

Through BICSI and other associations, we have good contacts with local ICT installers and system integrators throughout the region. This means it is straightforward for GST to reach out to active local partners in the Southeast Asia territories, and to quickly identify and execute on local Wireless Mesh sales opportunities.

Conclusion

The directors believe the agreement between EMS and P2 Wireless will improve the range of technologies EMS can offer to clients in the region and internationally, creating more value for shareholders.
